A palm is mirrored in the water and for a moment loses its fixed form. The contours drift apart, light breaks through and the motif becomes a soft memory of a place. Palm Reflection captures that lingering feeling of warm days by the pool, when there is no reason to keep track of time.
Beneath the surface a grid pattern gives the image structure. Against its regular lines the palm reflection moves freely, dissolves and takes shape again. The meeting between geometry and the rippling reflection gives the motif both character and an almost painterly expression.
